Reddit is one of the ten largest social platforms on the planet, and when it comes to adult content, nothing else even comes close. Thanks to its subreddit system, Reddit hosts thousands of NSFW communities covering every fetish, fantasy, and curiosity imaginable… many of them massive, highly active, and updated around the clock.
In this NSFW Subreddits Guide, I’ve ranked the 50 biggest adult subreddits on all of Reddit.
How I Ranked the Top Adult Content on Reddit
When I first wrote this list (in 2019), it contained 225 subreddits. Some of them have grown to be absolute monsters over the years, others have faded by the wayside (or been banned by Reddit).
I’ve tracked the growth of the remaining subs, and trawled the Reddit porn rabbit hole to bring you the fifty largest NSFW subreddits in the world today, ranked by total subscribers.
Collectively, these communities attraction millions of visits every day.
If you’re the type who checks the subscriber count in a subreddit’s sidebar, you might notice that my numbers don’t always line up exactly with what Reddit displays on the page.
That’s not a mistake.
Reddit doesn’t show a single, perfectly accurate subscriber count everywhere. The numbers you see on subreddit pages are often rounded, delayed, or slightly “fuzzed”… which is a deliberate choice by Reddit to make growth harder to track precisely (and to discourage manipulation).
Two people can even see slightly different subscriber counts on the same subreddit at the same time.
For this guide, I’ve chosen to use Reddit’s API subscriber counts instead.
While they’re still cached and not truly real-time, API numbers are more consistent and far better suited for ranking purposes. Most importantly, they let me compare subreddits using the same measurement across the board, rather than relying on the sometimes-smoothed numbers Reddit shows publicly.

“You’ll know it when you see it” goes the sub tagline. I suppose you could use this place as your jumping off point for when a scene or post catches your eye. In general, though, it’s a chaotic hot mess.

There might be some more controversial “leaked” content buried in the archives, but it’s probably the exception or the sub would have been shit-canned already.

Some Takeaways…
It’s worth bearing in mind: the larger the subreddit membership, the more diverse the content being shared is; however, these large groups can get a little ‘noisy’ at times.
Sometimes a smaller forum can make it easier to strike connections and network with other members… if you give a damn about any of that. (I know most are just here for the fap!)
I wouldn’t describe any of the subreddits above as ‘small’ – and the other side of the coin is that each of these subs has a ton of fresh content posted daily. You won’t be running dry.
All of these groups have their own community guidelines.
You should definitely read them before you start posting or contributing to the discussions.
