The origin begins when Soviet amateur athlete Mikhail Alekseyev volunteered to take part in a Soviet genetics experiment. The experiment was part of the Omega program code name Manimal. The program’s mission objective was to enhance and transform athletes utilizing animal genetics eventually creating super soldiers. However, the program lost funding during mid-transformation, and for his safety the government decided to freeze him. 20 years later during a power outage Mikhail escaped and defected to the United States of America convinced he was on a Soviet mission. He changed his name to Russian Manimal Volkoff after being discovered by professional wrestling promoters original Gary Wolf. Manimal eventually formed the Russian Gangsta’s, a group made up of professional wrestlers, musicians, athletes, film stars, and various other influencers. Russian Manimal began wrestling professionally for such promotions as Veteran Pro Wrestling, Twisted Wrestling Alliance, United States Wrestling Federation, and Super Strong Pro Wrestling. Thus far he has set a professional wrestling record being banned from 47 consecutive locations and organizations. Manimal has made it a point to break Yankee great Joe DiMaggio’s56 game hitting streak by being suspended over 57 times. Like Mary Shelly’s novel Frankenstein, the Russian Manimal might be more misjudged and misguided however he is not a monster. The formula for evil is ignorance plus jealousy and Manimal is neither of those. Russian Manimal performance can be compared to Borris Karloff’s portrayal of Frankenstein’s monster. For the most part he is kind but when provoked he lashes out based on survival instincts, not emotional outburst. Volkoff is unable to judge people based on the category society gives them, and he only judges based on how they act.
