In addition to the club and entertainer awards that we typically present during the ED Awards Show at EXPO (voted on by the industry), we’ve introduced several ED “Honors” Awards that will acknowledge specific individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry at large. The nominees for the “Businesswoman of the Year” Award were gathered in large part from the pre-nomination voting process at theEDawards.com; the winners of these awards will be decided by the ED Honors Board. The nominees are presented here in alphabetical order.

Conducting business in the adult nightclub industry is not for the meek, but it’s even more challenging for women. This award signifies our appreciation for an industry professional who can easily traverse these choppy waters in an industry that may not recognize them as often as they should.
Sandra Do, Chief of Staff, Peppermint Hippo clubs
With over two decades of experience in the adult nightclub industry, Sandra Do’s strategic leadership, operational expertise and tireless work ethic have made her the backbone of this industry. Her contributions at Rick’s Chicago in 2018 helped boost the club to RCI’s fourth leading venue. Currently serving as both Peppermint Hippo’s Chief of Staff and personal assistant to Alan Chang, she plays a pivotal role in steering one of the industry’s fastest-growing brands.
As the key liaison between the club’s executive leadership and nationwide teams, Sandra’s strategic oversight has been integral to the successful expansion of the Peppermint Hippo brand, particularly in the launch of new properties. Among her colleagues, she’s known to be just as comfortable in a hard hat on active construction sites as she is in executive boardrooms.
Beyond her technical skills, Sandra is a trusted mentor and culture-setter. Known affectionately as “Mr. Miyagi,” she leads with a level of humility, wisdom and clarity that resonates across every level of the company, making her a model of modern leadership.
Adia Foster, VP, GoBest and Deja Vu
As a woman of color rising to the top of an industry where representation has often been lacking, Adia Foster leads with both courage and clarity. Her voice carries weight not because of her title as Vice President of Go Best and Déjà Vu Services, but because of the integrity, wisdom and tenacity she brings to every room she enters. She has not only excelled in her role but has also redefined what leadership looks like in a rapidly evolving industry.
In her role as VP, Adia travels across the United States, ensuring that every venue operates at the highest level of excellence. She holds each club to a standard that reflects not only the company’s values but her personal commitment to progress and professionalism.
What makes Adia stand out, beyond her exceptional work ethic, is the way she leads with purpose. She is helping to shape a more inclusive, innovative and accountable future for this company and for the industry as a whole.
Macy John, Director of Marketing, Rick’s Cabaret
From her humble beginnings as a cocktail server to her current position as Director of Marketing for the world’s largest adult nightclub chain, Macy John has devoted decades to the adult nightclub industry. What sets her apart from the competition is her personalized leadership approach and the strength of her feminine perspective in a male-dominated field. Macy consistently operates at an expert level, skillfully managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines while maintaining a consistently positive and solutions-oriented attitude.
In her role, she delivers monthly comprehensive overviews of marketing initiatives, addressing every applicable market within the industry. She also diligently monitors social media performance and search engine visibility to ensure each club’s digital presence remains strong and consistent. She doesn’t just outperform individuals, she outpaces entire departments.
Despite her unmatched performance, Macy remains kind, humble and collaborative. Her intelligence and talent are evident in everything she does, setting her apart and making her an invaluable team member.
Greta Torres, Executive Manager/Assistant, Bucks clubs
Greta Torres began her career 18 years ago as an internal auditor for the Jaguars Gentlemen’s Club chain, headquartered in Dallas. From the outset, it was clear that she brought far more to the table than routine oversight. Her diligence, strategic insight and leadership enabled her to quickly move through the ranks, resulting in her becoming second-in-command within the corporate office.
When Jaguars was acquired, Greta played a key role in the transition, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Following the acquisition, she was appointed Executive Office Manager, a role in which she has thrived for over a decade. As a vital force behind the Bucks dynasty’s continued growth and success, Greta oversees payroll and bookkeeping operations for more than 500 employees across 11 club locations.
Greta also serves as Executive Assistant to both Curtis Wise and Kevin Richardson, supporting high-level operations and decision-making. She embodies the essence of a modern businesswoman in the adult nightclub industry: capable, committed and unshakably reliable. For her, no task is impossible, but merely another day at the office.
