But let’s be clear: since we first wrote this review, there are now dozens of adult VOD platforms on the market, all vying for the same slice of the premium porn pie. Does XNXX Gold offer enough to stay competitive? It boils down to whether you’re looking for original content… or a firehose of high-quality scenes pulled from various corners of the industry.
XNXX Goes Gold
XNXX is owned by WGCZ Holding, the mysterious Czech-based adult media giant that quietly controls a huuuuge chunk of the global porn tube ecosystem.
If that name rings a bell, yes… it’s because XVideos also sits under the same corporate umbrella.
That doesn’t mean the two sites are carbon copies. XNXX and XVideos operate as separate platforms with different interfaces, content mixes, and premium strategies, but they share backend infrastructure, studio relationships, and distribution muscle.
If you’ve browsed the free clips on both sites, you’ll be familiar with the heavy crossover of material.
XNXX Gold is the premium version of XNXX – just like XVideos Red is for XVideos.
The services are very similar; they both target the growing market of users looking for a “premium porn experience”. Just in slightly different packaging.
In other words: much of what I say here will apply to both sites. Personally, I lump the sites together as different flavors of the same “WGCZ VOD package“.
Not familiar with how a VOD package works?
Well, you can think of XNXX Gold as the adult industry’s equivalent of signing up for Spotify Premium after years of using free Spotify. The free XNXX experience is like a crowded dive bar… there’s an insane variety but also a relentless assault of pop‑ups, clickbait ads and questionable uploads.
XNXX Gold promises to whisk you into the VIP lounge: no ads, full‑length movies, higher‑resolution streams, unlimited downloads and original “Gold Originals” series.
You can stream on desktop, tablet, Smart TV or mobile devices, and downloaded films stay in your personal library while you remain a subscriber.
But… Why Would I Pay For ‘Free’ Porn?
Fair question.
If XNXX were some mid-tier tube limping along on recycled clips and malware ads, I’d be asking the same thing.
But XNXX isn’t just big – it’s institutionally massive. As of late 2025, Similarweb ranked it 44th among the most-visited websites on the entire internet, while Semrush had it sitting even higher at 29th globally. Not “29th among porn sites”.
29th, full stop.
That kind of traffic doesn’t happen by accident. It means:
- a constant flood of new studio content
- deep licensing relationships (with some big hitters, as we’ll see below…)
- and a back catalogue so large it’s basically impossible to exhaust unless porn is your full-time job
WGCZ is one of the few companies in the world with the muscle to extract premium subscriptions from the world’s most notorious audience of freeloaders: porn tube visitors.
And, so, XNXX Gold lumps an obscenely large dollop of porn in to the equation:
- 750+ new videos added every single day
- 617,000+ complete, full-length videos
- 1M+ total scenes across every imaginable category
- HD downloads up to 4K
- Licensing deals with heavyweight studios like Bang Bros, Team Skeet, Brazzers, and MyPervyFamily
- Completely ad-free browsing (which, frankly, is worth money on its own)
All of that comes in at $9.99/month, or $95.88 per year if you’re happy to commit.
That’s dirt cheap in modern adult VOD terms.
If I look across the board, there are other much more ‘fashionable’ premium porn upgrades. The sector-leading Adult Time charges $19.95/month for streaming-only. VOD giants like AEBN and Adult Empire have ‘Unlimited’ all-you-can-binge buffets with hundreds of thousands of DVDs available… but they are priced at around $24.95/month. A significant jump.
So, what’s the play here?
XNXX Gold (and XVideos Red) knows that they face a harder time selling a subscription from the starting point of a free tube porn site. Their solution is to drop the price below other premium offers… and hope that the sheer volume of porn wins out.
To that extent, the closest apples-to-apples comparison is Pornhub Premium.
Pornhub undeniably feels slicker – cleaner UI, better recommendation logic, and less of that “tube chaos” energy. But its premium library clocks in closer to 350,000 videos, with a different studio mix (Brazzers, Mofos, Digital Playground, Reality Kings).
Pornhub Premium may feel more refined. But it has less than half the output of XNXX/XVideos.
In all honesty, your preference may well boil down to which of the exclusive studios you prefer. But in either case, you’re never going to sift through all of the content. There’s just way too much.
I mean, you’d have chaffed nuts just consuming a single day’s worth of uploads.
That’s the scale we’re looking at.
Incidentally, Aylo, the company behind PornHub is actively pivoting from their Pornhub Premium flagship. The product is still there, but the company is focusing its energy on a rebranded ‘SpiceVids’ – essentially offering the same product, but without the connotations of a free porn tube attached.
This hints at the difficulty companies like WGCZ Holding have in selling products like XNXX GOLD to an audience conditioned to expect free everything.
Is XNXX Gold Worth The Money?
If you’re a regular XNXX user and you simply want more of the same… but less annoying, XNXX Gold is a no-brainer.
You’re paying $9.99 to:
- kill ads dead
- unlock full-length scenes instead of chopped-up teasers
- download proper HD / 4K files
- access Gold Originals and studio-licensed content
In that context, XNXX Gold absolutely delivers.
Would I recommend it over PornHub Premium?
Personally, no I wouldn’t… because I’ve always preferred Pornhub over XNXX. The UI/UX is just much more to my liking.
This is where comparisons matter.
Whether XNXX Gold beats the Aylo stable offering really comes down to your own personal taste.
If you naturally gravitate toward the WGCZ tube ecosystem – XNXX, XVideos, their performers, their upload style, their categories – then Gold/Red makes much more sense than Pornhub Premium or SpiceVids.
If you prefer the Aylo ecosystem – Pornhub’s UI, its studio mix, its recommendation engine – then Pornhub Premium will probably feel more “at home,” even if the library is smaller. And even though it’s smaller, there’s still a ton of crossover between the sites.
What XNXX Gold is not trying to be is a glossy, tightly curated “Netflix of porn” experience.
That’s the lane occupied by platforms like Adult Time, which charge significantly more and focus on:
- studio-owned originals
- consistent branding
- cinematic production values
- fewer, higher-polish releases done well
XNXX Gold, by comparison, is essentially an upsized tube site. It still relies heavily on existing licensing agreements with studios you’ll already be familiar with from using their free site.
In short: it’s less about being “the best premium porn site” and more about being the best value upgrade for tube users. XNXX Gold and Spice Vids are both good value in this department.
