LOS ANGELES—Production company Adult Time and its parent company Gamma Films kicked off the 2026 adult industry awards season with a “Pre-Nomination Gala” Friday night at Millwick, an events venue in the downtown arts district. (photo gallery)
Attendees entered through a short red carpet backgrounded with a step-and-repeat featuring logos for Adult Time, Gamma Films, and Mills Shot Productions, and posters for the pre-nominated productions were hanging on the walls. The venue featured two large patios, mostly unusable because of the rain, but attendees made use of the sheltered open bar in one patio. Waiters offered trays of finger foods as guests mingled in the venue’s Grand Hall with projections showing pre-nomination lists and promo stills from Adult Time productions in the last qualification year.
The eclectic guest list included directors Ricky Greenwood, Jim Powers, Seth Gamble, and Siouxsie Q and Michael Vegas; AVN-Award winning performers Blake Blossom and Vanna Bardot; Adult Time crew personnel, including production manager David Lord and sound tech Venus; and supporting performers including Dick Chibbles and Josh Rivers (“I was in House of Silk. I was encased in a cocoon with only my cock coming out.”)
“We have a movie called Simulation, for Future Darkly,” Ricky Greenwood said. “Also a movie called Manhood from the same line. It’s great to see all the people here, all dressed nicely,” a sentiment also expressed by Michael Vegas: “A gala is such a thing to go to, and it’s really exciting to see people get dressed up and celebrate each other. We worked on a lot of Bree Mills projects this year, and I also worked on Bottom Floor 2, and I’m most excited about that one. My favorite thing this year.”
“I’m here to celebrate all the beautiful people I’ve worked with in scenes, and the other people behind the scenes,” Sarah Arabic said. “The only feature I’ve done here is Hard Stop, and I also represented Adult Time at the Venus Festival in Berlin. That was a lot of fun. I love this company a lot.” “I had to do a lot of acting, but it was great to support the women,” Olivia Jay said, reflecting on her role as the therapist in Hard Stop. “We supported each other.”
“Everyone here looks so beautiful. Make sure everyone knows that,” Yhivi said. “Let the readers know how beautiful everyone looks. You can feel it. It’s palpable.”
“I thought they were starting a new awards show,” Ravyn Alexa said. “It’s exciting, because maybe they put something I’m in for nominations. I was in Bottom Floor, I hope that gets in.”
“I am so happy to welcome this incredible group here tonight for our annual Pre-Nomination Gala party,” Adult Time Chief Creative Officer Bree Mills said, taking a microphone to introduce the trailer show. “I learned that putting the word ‘gala’ is somewhat misleading, but I really appreciate the eclectic interpretations. I, myself, am in a T-shirt, some of you are in sequins, everybody looks fire. Thank you so much for being here. I also heard a rumor that we were starting our own awards show. We are not. We wanted to take the opportunity to invite all the people associated with our pre-nommed projects to an exclusive gathering as a way to say thank you, and to show appreciation for all the hard work and the really amazing collaborations and relationships that we have.
“Regardless of what happens next week with the official nominations, all of the projects displayed here tonight represent all the work that we wanted to recognize and give a shoutout to the incredible people involved. This is a night to celebrate all of you. Enjoy the show. There is a buffet. There is a photo booth, take some photos. And there is a bar. Drink responsibly.”
This led to a presentation of 11 Adult Time trailers including Breadcrumbs, The Bottom Floor: Second Coming, Hard Stop, Escape from Camp Conversion, Once Upon a Time In The Valley, Simulation, The Fucket List, The Party’s Over, and The Secrets We Share, which concluded with Mills saying from her front-row seat “All right! Let’s eat!” as the screen went black, leading to the buffet supper and socializing.
“Brand ambassador, on the clock,” Isiah Maxwell said. “Got my Wicked hat, can’t complain. My favorite word in this industry is ‘okay.’ Ron Ellis taught me that. Learn to say okay and move on.” “I had a small part in Camp Conversion, which was a fantastic project,” Leana Lovings said. “I’m so happy that I could have taken part in something so beautiful and fun and crazy terrifying.”
“We wanted to get everybody that we pre-nominated for projects this year and say thank you,” Bree Mills told AVN. “Our crews, the talent we worked with. Even if they don’t get officially nominated, we wanted to let them know that their projects mattered a lot to us, and to recognize them. It’s nice to see a lot of people we work with regularly here. It’s a good night.”
