Hello Krieg Bear. Thank you for taking part in this interview. Thank you for taking part in this interview.

Q. Can you let our readers know who you are and what you do in the adult industry?
A. I am a well travelled, self-taught artist / illustrator now residing in Europe that finds inspiration in people, places and some beautifully dark corners of my imagination. I have created book covers and illustrations for erotic novels and various commissions for people in the industry. I have also released two coffee table books of collections of my erotic art with Erosetti Press.
Q. How and why did you start your artwork?
A. I have been drawing since l was a young boy after discovering comic books at the age of five. Later discovering artists like Gustav Klimt, Eugene Grasset and Aubrey Beardsley as l started exploring art. I remember teaching myself how to draw from reading art tutorials in some very old encyclopaedias.
Q. What attracted you to doing erotic artwork with dark fantasy?
A. I discovered erotic artists like Milo Minara, Crepax and Giovanna Casotto and was immediately attracted to wanting to create my own vision of erotica. I have an interest in things dark and phantasmic and often cross the erotic with the shadows of dark fantasy and the bizarre. I am also influenced by mythology, literature, film, pop culture, erotica and fetish culture. I would say my artistic style could be called idealized realism.
Q. Can you let our readers know what are your steps are for coming up with a new piece of artwork?
A. I find inspiration in people, places and some beautifully dark corners of my imagination. Hard to say what triggers inspiration or a theme in my art work. It can come from complete strangers, music, film, photographs or something that is seen as a taboo subject that l can push a boundary. The essence of my art is “To evoke and to provoke.” I am never lost for sources of inspiration. Sometimes I am requested for some theme in particular for a commission but usually the commissioner wants something very BEAR X. My illustrations are meant to be seen as ”moments in time” where the person viewing them can create a fantasy in their minds eye. This to me is fantastic, each person can create a their own erotic story.
Q. What can your fans look forward to from you in the near future?
